500khz - the next project?

No posts for a while?

Well, all's well here. Regular activity on 2m FM in the commuting times, which is always enjoyable. If you're a subscriber to the uk-contest list, you'll know that I have been doing battle with the Radcom editor about the content of my column! Nothing personal, it's just about differing views of how to see amateur radio go forward. I'm sure I'm right, and I'm sure Giles thinks he is. No big deal and we'll go forward, I'm sure.

Meanwhile, back on the air, I noticed today that there is now activity on 500kHz. So, I'm going to have to try and get an RX going and see what I can hear on there. I'll post the first station I hear on the blog, of course.

Oh, and check out the Fiddlesticks blog for pictures of our new bees!

Some nice publicity for Amateur Radio

A colleague pointed me at this story on the BBC News site today, written by Laurie, G3UML.
